Joanna Strachan  discovered jewellery fourteen years ago and has pursued this passion ever since. She loves the freedom, flexibility and creativity this has added to her life, and feels excited by its endless possibilities.

"Energy, movement and growth are all evolving aspects of nature. This is what inspires me and drives my creativity. This is further influenced by a keen interest in different cultures and extensive travelling in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. I reflect such themes through my designs. The process starts with a clear concept; then forging, saw piercing, hammering and etching are used to produce form, texture, contrast and detailing to the design. Through such techniques the sense of movement and growth are represented and the piece evolves and unfolds.

My aspirations are to produce jewellery with a contemporary and feminine flair. Designs which are practical and a pleasure to wear but with an individual signature. The pieces are distinctive, sophisticated and unique. I believe the right piece of jewellery can transform a look, show individuality, enhance confidence and create a statement. The best moment for me, is when a customer “falls in love” with a piece, sharing my passion for the process from the initial inspiration to the finished product."
