Claudia Massie grew up in the Scottish Borders and was trained at the Edinburgh College of Art then at The University of Salamanca. Having lived in Edinburgh much of her work is inspired by buildings and closes of the city as well as views of the surrounding country, notably the Forth Road and Rail Bridges.

Her pictures have been purchased for private collections in Britain, New Zealand, Spain and the U.S.A. She currently lives and continues to paint in Perth.
