Morag is an Artist from Galloway in the South West of Scotland. She attended Edinburgh College of Art and graduated with a BA Hons in Drawing and Painting in 2005. She is currently based in Edinburgh.

 "The familiar coast of home has always been an inspiration to me.  I enjoyed exploring the subtle distinctions between the land, sea and sky, when they often become hard to define where one ends and another begins.

 Over the last year my work has taken a new direction, with influences from ancient cultures and my travels I have been drawn to the symbolism of Egyptian and Cave art. My recent work has become a response to the ideas and beliefs from these cultures. Concentrating on the symbolism, I want to convey my own thoughts, feelings and experiences in a similar way."
